Ready to install!

After a bit of deliberation, I've decided to install Vista using a Hypervisor (virtual machine program). After some research, I've determined that the processor on my computer (a pentium D 930) is one that is capable of utilizing hardware virtualization, so I have high hopes for the usability of vista when installed on this platform.

Attached is a screenshot of the system information utility on the computer I intend to use, as well as the Vista upgrade advisor telling me that the computer is fit to run the OS.

Additionally, since I am on the Vista SP1 beta team, I will be installing from an .iso image of Vista that has been slipstreamed with the Service Pack 1 beta that I obtained from microsoft connect.

Here is a screenshot of the virtual machine setup in parallels workstation for Windows (the host OS is Windows XP SP2).

Looks like I'm ready to go!

You seem very computer savvy, especailly with your last post of the iphone. So, your Vista a virtual install meaning that it's installed but you don't use it or do you get to use the program on your "older" stuff too?
